Geothermal Engineering Ltd attending US geothermal event.

Geothermal Engineering Ltd is attending this year's Stanford Geothermal Workshop, held in Stanford, California. This workshop brings together engineers, scientists and managers from all over the world to discuss geothermal reservoir studies and developments. The workshop also provides a forum for the exchange of ideas on the exploration, development and use of geothermal resources.

The US geothermal sector is particularly exciting as in September 2010 the US Department of Energy (DoE) invested $20 million in the development of geothermal power technologies.

Jay Nathwani, manager of the DoE's Geothermal Technologies Program, has said that the 'geothermal industry won't be disappointed by the grant for this year' during a presentation this month.
