Ryan Law (MD) was invited by the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) to talk about the United Downs project and financing for deep geothermal projects.

Ryan Law, the founder and managing director of Geothermal Engineering Ltd was invited by the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) to speak at the annual GeoPower event in Milan. This event is widely seen as the most important on the European geothermal calendar.  Ryan was asked to talk about both the United Downs deep geothermal project and funding for deep geothermal projects in general.  The European industry as a whole is finding funding hard to come by in these difficult times.

After the conference Ryan Law said that, “this is by far the most important geothermal event on the calendar and it was a privilege to be invited by EGEC to speak. It was heartening to see the increase in attendance of the oil and gas companies, which the deep geothermal energy need to fully develop the potential of deep geothermal in Europe”.
