03.09.10MD Ryan Law on the Today programme

Radio 4's Today programme interviews Ryan to find out more about the company's plans for Cornwall.

Speaking to the programme's science and technology correspondent while on a tour of the plant's site, Ryan explained how geothermal power works, what output the plant in Cornwall will have, and how it draws upon Cornwall's natural geothermal resources. The programme also interviewed Tim German, head of Cornwall Council's Green Cornwall initiative, and Gaynor Hartnell, CEO of the Renewable Energy Association. Ryan summed up Cornwall's potential by concluding: "it's like having a power station beneath the ground, and you're tapping into that heat."

If you would like to hear the programme, it can be listened to on the BBC iPlayer.
